Iside Vintage Safari Prestige is the name of the new Express rifle with external hammers showcased at the Nuremberg fair by the Italian company.
Chambered in the 8x57 JRS caliber, F.A.I.R. Iside Vintage Prestige immediately stands out for its external hammers and the Bavarian stock that recall the aristocratic hunting parties in European forests.
F.A.I.R. Iside Vintage Prestige: modern technology, aristocratic look
The action of the Iside Prestige Vintage is made from a hardened and tempered block of type 16 three-alloyed steel. It's appropriately case-color finished with blue-black hues.
The locking system is based on a large cross bolt and double lugs, the locks use coil springs and the hammers feature double safety notches. The trigger is double and the safety is a slide-type, located on the upper receiver. The long-stroke extractors are manual.
The barrels are made of high strength UM / 8 - HD40 steel and are 21.6 in / 55 centimeters long. They support a 0.27 in / 7 mm wide satin-finish rib, designed for mounting an optic. The metal sights consist of a V-notched backsight and a micrometrically adjustable optical fiber frontsight.
Vintage suggestions also come from the high quality European walnut stock with Bavarian cheek rests; the forend has a schnabel tip. The gripping surfaces benefit from a fine-grained, laser-made and oil-finished Scottish checkering. The butt plate, consistent with the style of the weapon, is made of selected walnut with fine checkering.
The weight of the F.A.I.R. Iside Vintage Prestige is around 6.4 lbs, or 2.9 kg.
The weapon is sold in an ABS case with a key for adjusting the sight and a factory target group, for a retail price of 5,889 euro.
