Baschieri & Pellagri
Baschieri & Pellagri was founded in Bologna, Italy, in 1885 by Settimio Baschieri, a dedicated hunter, and Guido Pellagri, a chemistry graduate. Their experiments in creating a smokeless powder led to the Acapnia powder (from the Greek “smokeless”), the first white gunpowder ever produced in Italy. In the 1920s Baschieri & Pellagri already sponsored great champions of clay target shooting, and in the following decades more new powders were developed: among them, MB, Anigrina Lamellare, Superbalistite, up to the F2 powder of the 1960s. In the meantime, B&P also became one of the world's leading manufacturers of the newly introduced plastic wads.
Hunting & sports shooting cartridges and more...
Today, Baschieri & Pellagri continue investing in research and development, in partnership with other international companies. B&P wide product range includes: hunting and competition cartridges in 12, 16, 20, 28 gauges and .410 bore; powders for both shotgun and rifled barrel (including handguns); and 6 different lines of plastic wads to satisfy any reloading need.
Among B&P's products, the new 12 gauge “Big Game” buckshot loads specifically designed for ungulate hunting, the high-performance MG2 Mythos line, and the much-appreciated historical F2 Super Flash cartridge. In fact, the manufacturer is very proud of the great hunting tradition (the F2 cartridge line in 16 gauge is an example of this), also paying much attention to lovers of classic small gauges with products such as the Extra Rossa 28 Magnum. The long experience in shooting sports, as well as hunting cartridges, is showed by the ACTIVE range specifically designed for dynamic target shooting.
