Swarovski Optik
Hunters and nature lovers, as well as sport shooters, rely on the top technology of their optical equipment. The renowned company Swarovski Optik manufactures high-quality binoculars, telescopes and rifle scopes that meet the highest demands. As a supplement to the high-quality product range, the manufacturer also offers hunters and shooters outstanding services.
The story of this brand actually dates back to in 1895 when, after inventing the world’s first electric grinding machine for jewelry stones, Daniel Swarovski established the family-owned company. In 1935, Wilhelm Swarovski, son of the original founder, took advantage of the specialized glass production and finishing technologies already used to manufacture jewelry stones in his father’s factory to develop a novel prism fabrication and grinding process that he applied in constructing his first 6x30 binocular. Wilhelm went on to found Swarovski Optik KG, in 1949. Based in in Absam, Tyrol (Austria), Swarovski Optik is part of the Swarovski group, a company run by the fifth generation of the same family.
Over the years, Swarovski Optik introduced its first rifle scope in 1959, its initial extendable spotting scope in 1967 and the world’s first rubber-armored binocular in 1971. The company is active in three target groups: hunting, birding and outdoor.
Swarovski riflescopes, spotting scopes and binoculars
Swarovski riflescopes include the Z8i, Z61, dS and X5i series. The Swarovski Z8i rifle scope family with 8x zoom is extremely versatile and combines a large field of view when using low magnifications with the accuracy of details when using higher magnifications. Different models are currently available: Z8i 0.75-6x20, Z8i 1-8x24, Z8i 1.7-13.3x42 P, Z8i 2-16x50 P, Z8i 2.3-18x56 P, and Z8i 3.5-28x50 P.
With an outstanding field of view and perfect brightness, the Z6i series is also available in several models for any hunting need, including the Z6i 3-18x50, the 2.5-15x56 and Z6i 1-6x24.
The dS 5-25×52 model provides hunters with ultimate in high-tech or “smart” hunting riflescopes, combining the optical quality of conventional sighting-in optics with the key benefits of a digital scope. The high-resolution head-up display gives not only the correct aiming point thanks to an integrated laser rangefinder, but also all the key ballistic data.
The X5i riflescopes, on the other hand, offer great accuracy for long range-hunting and from 2019 are available both in MOA and metric (MRAD) versions. The X5i family consists of the X5i 3,5-18x50 P, X5i 5-25x56 P, X5i 5-25x56 P, X5i 3,5-18x50 P and X5i 5-25x56 P models. These scopes are perfectly complemented by spotting scopes such as the Swarovski BTX, which features 2 eyepieces allowing you to look through with both eyes, or the modular and ergonomic ATX/STX series. Other models, like the STR 80, are dedicated not only to hunters, but also to law enforcement and sports shooters, while the ST Vista is a full-size outdoor spotting scope.
Swarovski high quality and optical brilliance can be also found in binoculars. The Habicht is a very classic, traditional optical system featuring a light-alloy housing. Besides the pocket size CL family and the larger SLC models, the EL and EL Range binoculars (the latter featuring a built-in rangefinder) are perfect companions for hunters and sports shooters alike.
